LAPS companion animal fundraiser event schedule

Participate in LAPS by attending or volunteering at one of our many annual dog-friendly charity events! With just two dog parks in Summit County, these dog-friendly community gatherings are especially important for socializing our loyal companions.

Please email us at LAPS@summitlaps.org and help in our mission to care for Summit County companion animals in need. We truly appreciate your generous contributions over the years and look forward to seeing you at our next event.

Help LAPS celebrate their 30th Anniversary by participating in the Virtual 2020 K94K fundraiser with ANY kind of pet (horse, cat, you name it)!

2020 VIRTUAL K94K

Dillon Marina Mutt Show is a FREE family-friendly dog-centric event hosted by the Town of Dillon at the Marina on Lake Dillon every Labor Day. Registration starts at 12:00 noon and the show starts at 2:00 pm. Dog lovers unite in an afternoon of family friendly fun as dog owners show off their companions and compete in costume for prizes. All proceeds benefit the League for Animals and People of the Summit LAPS, so please join us for some fun in the sun alongside Lake Dillon this Labor Day. Great prizes and contests!

Make a Difference Day is Sat, August 29th from 9-Noon!

LAPS is participating in Make a Difference Day on Sat, Aug 29th by cleaning up both Dog Parks (Maryland Creek/Silverthorne and Carter Park/Breckenridge) and possibly a few other minor work projects at those sites.

This year, the Blue River Watershed is partnering with Make a Difference organizers (Always Mountain Time) and Lead Sponsor, The Summit Foundation, to do river cleanup in all parts of Summit County and one in Park County, so if you can volunteer to help with any of the projects, please sign up at:
