League for Animals and People of the Summit

L.A.P.S.' mission is literally a matter of life or death - reducing pet overpopulation and needless euthanasia of healthy animals through spay/neuter programs and providing financial assistance to low-income families for veterinary services that will assure a happy, healthy life for their pets.

Need help with some veterinarian bills? Download our Assistance Form and check out the options under "About LAPS/Programs".

L.A.P.S. also offers Discount Vouchers for spay/neuter only for any income (must pick up voucher at the Summit County Animal Shelter in Frisco and show proof of residency - no application.) Vouchers must be used at a local veterinary office.

The 29th annual LAPS K94K will be on Saturday, August 3rd in Frisco and we're mixing it up this year, so come check us out! Online registration is available by clicking here!

Walkers will enjoy a FUN Walk (no timing or prizes) looping around Frisco but runners will be timed and awarded prizes for top finishers.

There will be more Door Prizes, Doggie Contests and Vendors, along with NEW festivities for the day that include a Caricature Artist, Paw Painting, Doggie Ice Cream, Munchies, Flea Market and huge Silent Auction, so you can hang out and listen to local favorite, Randall McKinnon, who's graciously offered to help LAPS out again.

Instead of individual goodie bags, there will be free doggie treats in baskets and we'll still have donuts and delicious Abbey's Coffee.
